Otis and Daisy May are enjoying a full pasture to themselves this year. We are pasture sharing with our other bull. This fall we hope to see another set of hooves on the ground. Why is it that to sit outside watching the animals with a warm cup to sip on is such a deep delight? And to think I'm fortunate enough to do this at will.
Dexters for sale.
We are going to take a few years to improve our pasture enough to enable us to have more grass available year round. We plan on making swales and smaller paddocks for the animal rotations. We need time to do this. We still plan on bringing back Dexter cattle but need time to put into use what we learned from this experience so we can move forward.
Our goal is to have year round standing grass for the animals to eat for their best health and best permaculture action.
All have sold. Thank you!
Spring 2013 Update:

A proven heritage breed for hundreds of years
We have a registered Cow/Bull pair that we expect a calf from this spring. In addition we
have an unregistered cow that is expected to throw a calf May/June that will be
good for someone who isn't concerned with registered paperwork as long as it
comes from good stock.
Our cows are horned. Our bull is polled. We'll see what the babies are! We have
red and black Dexters.
