Our 2014 Christmas piglets photos are ready to be seen!!
Dexter Cattle, Kune Kune Pigs, Maremma Livestock Guardian Dogs, and a few other animals for spice!
We have animals that thrive on a smaller piece of land, are by nature the friendlier type of their breed, are great mothers, multi-purpose, are more rare and in need of stewardship. We work toward breeding up in quality of body and temperament.
Each year we have been fortunate enough to have some offspring to offer up for sale. Click on the picture or the link to go to that animal's page.
As babies are born we update their page with pictures and stories!

Here at Old Schoolhouse Creek Farm we appreciate that we learn by watching nature. With that knowledge just maybe we can learn enough to integrate systems toward an easier self sustaining existence here.
All of our animals here have a purpose and were carefully chosen. The cows keep the pasture and hedge rows clipped. The goats follow after eating a different level of weeds, brush and brambles. The chickens and ducks are then employed to sort through the droppings to eat out all the extra seed and larvae thereby cutting the parasite cycles. The pigs delight us and come in and eat the rest of the grass and roots leaving the ground all nicely tilled for cover cropping forage for the cows, goats, chickens, and pigs to forage on! We trust our Maremma LGD to provide security over our dreams. Our family, kid's and all, care for and grow from this rotation. This is the system we are working towards perfecting. We know it'll take years and many cycles to improve to it's full potential but we have time. It's a work in progress and there is lots of learning to be done. In the meantime we are provided purposeful work to do, animals to enjoy, meat and eggs to eat, and offspring to offer for sale.
